Once upon a time Bess decided she was going to be a “cop”. Though her father was a little worried about his girl becoming the next Charlie’s Angel, she assured him everything would be alright. Her first day on the job she met David. “David was the one who oriented her on the new job and I guess sparks flew, and they hit it off so well.” -Father of the Bride.
David and Bess were married at St. Phillip’s Church in Bakersfield, CA on January 16th, 2016. Surrounded by family and friends they celebrated their marriage as husband and wife. The day began at Bakersfield’s Double Tree Hotel where David and the boys were checking out their Friar Tux attire and making sure little Jacob was dressed to the prime. The girls were conveniently in another room at the same hotel, getting dolled up by Kimiko Kobayashi from Kiko Agency. Bess’ Lovella Bridal dress from LA Sposa hung by a curtain with the other bridesmaid dresses – each with personalized hangers for the girls to save as a keepsake.
Marsha from The Photege was snapping away at all the lovely details, even stopping to get a shot of the bridesmaids’ coordinating robes. Meanwhile, Denise and her fairies from Fairy Godmother A Wedding And Event Planning Company kept busy with all the last minute to-do’s! Elegance in Bloom delivered gorgeous bouquets of flowers for the girls and handsome boutonnieres for the men. Even with last minute changes that are expected at any wedding, plans were going smoothly and the clock kept ticking on.
The Limousine Scene picked up the wedding party in shifts and safely delivered everyone to St. Phillip’s Church just a few blocks away. Monsignor Sanchez was busy preparing for the final details of the ceremony as guests arrived and found their seats. The ceremony started without a hitch and behind the scenes Josh & Emily from Evermoore Films were working quickly to capture all the events of this long-anticipated day.
After the exchange of rings, promise of vows, and first kiss Mr. and Mrs. Rutter were finally and officially married! Brenna and her crew from Seven Oaks Country Club awaited the happy guests, and it wasn’t long before the bride and groom made their Grand Entrance to start the party! Seven Oaks served a delicious dinner with plenty of food for everyone while Aaron’s DJ Services set a relaxing mood to entertain guests. On display stood a tall white Tastries cake ribboned with blue and sprinkled with hydrangeas ready to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth for the night. David and Bess danced the night away and were sure to jump in the Viral Photo Booth for some silly memories. They enjoyed company with friends and family from Texas and even overseas who came that night to celebrate their love for one another for not just one day but for the rest of life!
