Take a Breath | Wedding Speech Tip #19 | Evermoore Films

Sometimes the best speeches are the thoughtful speeches. The slow speeches. The heartfelt, tear-jerking speeches. Of course, there’s always a place for humor, but stopping to be serious is important too. One way to slow down is by just making sure you stop to take a breath. Pause in your speech. Allow time for yourself as well as the audience to think, process, laugh, or cry. Use a pause as a transition to the next thought or as a segue to your final toast.

Mackey & Courtney were blessed with family and friends who loved them and gave beautiful speeches on their wedding day. Their parents expressed love and thanksgiving for them and their relationship and they weren’t afraid to stop and take a breath, allowing everyone to breathe and enjoy the moments of celebrating two people bonding together in marriage.
