Jonathan and Maria, a love story that was ten years in the making, has finally reached the chapter in which the two become one forever. The happy day has come and gone, but we can back on that day and the promises they made to one another and know that their waiting was worth it.
The day started just like any other autumn day in Bakersfield. The sun rose and the city started buzzing with activity. But it wasn’t just any day, this was a wedding day! Jonathan and his groomsmen dressed smartly for the day in handsome suits from Friar Tux. His special blue socks safely over his feet to keep them from getting cold (as if they would) he had waited for this day for a decade! He couldn’t wait to see his bride!
Meanwhile at the Bakersfield Marriott, Maria and her bridesmaids were busily preparing for the ceremony. Lilly skillfully applied makeup and Carol styled the ladie’s hair, crowning Maria’s head with an elegant, silver hairpiece. Maria’s mother helped her into her gorgeous lace Martina Liana wedding gown with beautiful diamond studded heels.
Finally, it was off to the ceremony! The bridal party traveled to St. Augustine Church in Lamont to witness this happy couple tie the knot, where, in front of family and friends Father John united them in holy matrimony. Their love for one another was obvious as Jonathan wiped away a tear when his bride came walking towards him on her father’s arm, and Maria’s eyes sparkled during the ceremony as she looked at her groom. Then, the moment we all wait for: “You may kiss your bride!” Jonathan and Maria were husband and wife forever!
Now it was off to Elegante for their wedding reception. Family and friends who joined together to celebrate with the newlyweds were treated to an elegantly decorated reception, a delightful dinner by Rancho Viejo, and a delicious dessert by Tastries Bakery. Live music played by Mariachi Arguilas, toasts were given, and as the night rolled on the AllSound Music Entertainment kept the party going. Ashley DePencier Photography was there busily photographing everything from the beautiful flowers by House of Flowers, to all the bride and groom’s moments of the day, to the joy of those gathered around them.
All in all the day was a beautiful, happy day when not only two people but two families became one. Jonathan and Maria have already been together for a long time, and it was a pleasure to see their love for one another still going strong and steady. As the page turns in their love story, we know they will be glad that they can always look back on their wedding day and these once in a life time memories forever.
