Oh, we just love a good love story! Clayton and Chaney have such a cute story that all started yeeeeears ago when they met at Country Christian School! Like several people commented during the toasts, neither of them thought that they’d end up together – not as girlfriend/boyfriend and ESPECIALLY not as husband/wife! But our plans are not always God’s plans and Clayton and Chaney soon found out that God had a better plan for them then they even thought possible!
Fast-forward to two days after Christmas in 2015 (right between the holidays–the perfect un suspecting time to propose, men–free tip from Clayton!), Clayton got down on one knee and, holding out a dazzling Jared ring, he asked the woman of his dreams to marry him. We’re pretty sure he had a pretty good idea she’d say “Yes!” Clayton and Chaney were whisked into wedding planning and set the date for September 16th, 2017. They chose to get married in a private backyard with a beautiful open space for the ceremony, reception, and gorgeous photo spots along the Kern River. So peaceful, so perfect, just right for a wedding day!
Guests arrived to a gorgeous set-up by Lisa Haddadin, a good friend-turned wedding coordinator, and florist “Bloom.” From Wedding Paper Divas invitations to It’s Your Party Event Services rentals and linens, no detail was forgotten and everything was just stunning for an outdoor fall wedding. Clayton was dressed in his Friar Tux suit with a whole army of body guards by his side, waiting for his bride to appear around the corner. Well, they had prayed together earlier that morning, holding hands around a tree, but that was technically blind-folded, so he hadn’t got a glimpse of her yet. Before long Chaney’s court of maids appeared one by one, growing the suspense of the entrance of the bride. With very specially chosen dress from David’s Bridal, Chaney slowly came i nto view, holding on to both her father’s and mother’s arms. Misty Dameron Photography quitely snapped away these fleeting moments as father and daughter made the long-anticiapted walk down the aisle.
Everyone agreed that Chaney looked liked a perfectly happy dream, with her hair perfectly done up by Deanna Sorrell and her makeup by Megan Bryant, she practically floated toward her husband-to-be while he wiped away tears, completely stunned and still unprepared for this emotional moment! Pastor Steve Vinson welcomed the guests and began the reverent ceremony while the Evermoore Films team quietly captured the sacred vows, the exchange of the rings, and at last the first kiss as husband and wife!
After some photos and mingling, the bridal party made their way into the reception and Let The Music Play kept the guests entertained and got the party started on the full dance floor! Dinner was provided by Bord A Petite Catering Inc. and a delectable cake by Sugar and Tin Bakery as well as other sweets from Nothing Bundt Cakes–something for everyone! And just like that the wedding day was coming to a close! From the morning prayers to the heart-felt toasts, we just loved capturing every precious moment for Clayton and Chaney to remember now for the rest of their lives. Wishing them a lifetime of love and commitment forevermore, congratulate with us the newest Mr. and Mrs. in Bakersfield, California! Neither Clayton or Chaney knew it at the time, but for Clayton the love of his life and forever partner was standing “Right In Front of Me” for years…until just the right moment. And now we know that September 16th was that moment. Cheers!
