Okay, so, this has got to be one of the most special ceremonies we’ve filmed yet. I mean, what could be more romantic than a bride and groom saying “I Do” 10 years after their original wedding date and renewing their marriage vows again before friends and family, re-committing themselves to each other with undying love. Oh. So. Sweet! Justin and Marissa we just LOVED being there for your very special day and are so thankful to have captured your love in a new way for you to remember for many years to come! Since we never tire of re-watching good movies, we’re taking it back to July 1st, 2017 – the day Justin and Marissa said “We Still Do.”
It all started on May 29th, 2007 when Justin got down on one knee and proposed to Marissa. With a one month engagement they both knew this person was the one they wanted to spend forever with, so on June 29th, 2007, Justin and Marissa wed in matrimony before a small group of family and friends. But here’s the cool part. Not only did Justin and Marissa get married, but they had a friend last minute grab a camera and videotape their ceremony vows! After years of thinking they had lost the footage – not even remembering what it looked or sounded like – Justin and Marissa sat down to plan their 10 year vow renewal and started sorting through old computer files to put together a slideshow of old photos from over the past 10 years. Well, you can imagine their surprise when out of the woodwork falls their video from their original wedding vows! Overjoyed, they didn’t ever want to lose or forget them again and were ecstatic when we were able to include their original footage into their new wedding vow renewal highlight film!
It’s just too cute, watching the vows time-shift and go back and forth from then and now – to see the adoring way they repeated their vows back then and then confidently renewed them again! But this time they had a whole crew of vendors who helped make their day special! Gilbert from GiL Photography snapped away precious photos while Anthony Pangan brought the guests to the dance floor. Bakersfield Flower Market provided beautiful flower arrangements while Four Points by Sheraton’s The Bistro served a delicious shrimp and steak dinner! Don Roberto Jewelers added the bling, and between Marissa and Deseree, hair and makeup looked just perfect for the day! Smith’s Bakeries brought in the cutest lego-topped, chocolate frosted cake because after all it’s not a celebration without sweets!
One the cutest and most hilarious parts of the day was when the Reverend Loji Pilones ended the ceremony. This wasn’t their first kiss in marriage, so he got a little creative and announced, “And now…now you can shake each other’s hands.” and so THEY DID!!!! But then he quickly added, “You can kiss each other!” Oh, so fun! Justin and Marissa were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Delano, California and had a blast celebrating atFour Points By Sheraton in Bakersfield, California to the end of the night! And what a night it was 🙂 Join us in congratulating this sweet bride and groom and wish them well on their next 10 happy years together!
